This summer, CodeIT Academy is expanding your pathway into tech with three CompTIA certification opportunities: Tech+, A+, and Security+. Whether you’re just getting started or ready to build on your foundation, CodeIT Academy offers a clear progression from beginner to more advanced IT training.

CompTIA Tech+ is the ideal starting point for those new to technology, covering essential computer skills, troubleshooting, cybersecurity basics, software, and networking. For learners ready to take the next step, CompTIA A+ builds deeper technical knowledge for IT support and operations careers, while CompTIA Security+ prepares participants for in-demand cybersecurity pathways.

Program Overview

Course: CompTIA Tech+
Dates: May 5 - July 7, 2026
Schedule: Tues & Thurs, 5:30–7 p.m.
Format: Hybrid, online Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµios instruction, in-person support
Certification: Up to two exam attempts included
Extras: Hands-on guidance and career coaching

 

Course: CompTIA A+
Dates: May 5 - July 7, 2026

Schedule: Mon & Wed, 5:30–7 p.m.
Format: 100% Online

You are eligible to apply for Code/IT Academy if you are a resident of the 11-county Indiana Uplands region.

Students participate at community-based locations across the Indiana Uplands region, with on-site facilitators and support. Counties include:

  • Brown - Career Resource Center of Brown County
  • Crawford - The Community Foundation of Crawford County
  • Daviess - Daviess County Economic Development Corporation
  • Dubois - Jasper Public Library
  • Greene - Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce
  • Lawrence - StoneGate Arts & Education Center
  • Martin - Loogootee
  • Monroe - Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµios Bloomington
  • Owen - Owen County Community Foundation
  • Orange - Orange County Economic Development Partnership
  • Washington - Washington County Community Foundation Community Learning Center

Upon completion, Code/IT graduates are prepared to explore or continue education in several high-demand IT fields:

  • Web Development – foundational web technologies and design
  • Cybersecurity – system protection, risk management, and threat identification
  • Cloud Operations – cloud platforms, virtualization, and infrastructure management
  • Project Management – leading, coordinating, and delivering IT-related projects

Students may continue into Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµios short-term certificate and two-year degree programs in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, and other related areas.

This program is offered in partnership with Amplify Bloomington, Regional Opportunity Initiatives (ROI), and Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµios, supported by a $1.37M READI grant to expand access to IT education and training in the Indiana Uplands region.
