Prerequisite: ASB2 (Asbestos Building Inspector) or equivalent
Under the EPA’s AHERA Asbestos in Schools Rule, all public, nonprofit private, and Department of Defense K–12 schools must maintain an up-to-date asbestos management plan for every building they own, lease, or use—even if no asbestos-containing building materials (ACBM) are present. Management planners play a key role in helping schools and building owners meet these federal requirements safely and effectively.
