Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.

Responsibilities:

•ÌýÌý ÌýFacilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.Ìý
•ÌýÌý ÌýMakes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
•ÌýÌý ÌýDevelops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials. ÌýMaintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
•ÌýÌý ÌýEngages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and leads to a positive experience with Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµios, shows evidence of developing and implementing active classroom teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning (curricular).Ìý
•ÌýÌý ÌýInteracts with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complies with College policies, campus guidelines and expectations.Ìý
•ÌýÌý ÌýEnsures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs and all learning environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction and meet faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 for the specific area(s) of instruction.

MEAS 109, 110, 209, 218, 219, 238, 239, 260, 299 Course Standard:
A qualified faculty member teaching any of the above courses meets the program standard and has a minimum of one year of related work experience, or meets all of the following criteria:
1.ÌýÌý ÌýPossesses an earned associate degree from a regionally accredited institution, and
2.ÌýÌý ÌýHas a minimum of one year of related work experience, and
3.ÌýÌý ÌýPossesses one of the following:
•ÌýÌý ÌýCurrent professional certification in the field, or
•ÌýÌý ÌýCompleted academic preparation appropriate to the course being taught
