PROGRAM OPERATION: Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes. Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements. Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook. Submits requested information within established timelines. STUDENTS: Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions and/or provide assistance. Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues. INSTRUCTION: Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s). Use technology such as Canvas, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate. In event of emergency absence, notifies program/department chair.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction.Â
- Possesses an earned bachelor’s or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution, andÂ
- Two or more of the following:Â
- Professional certification (national, regional, or state)Â
- Two years of in-field professional employmentÂ
- Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of awardÂ
- Documentation of research and publication in fieldÂ
- Documented relevant coursework, equivalent to 6 semester hours or equivalent matter
- Holds a current MOS: Microsoft Office Outlook certification, orÂ
- Holds the second most recent MOS: Microsoft Office Outlook certification.Â
Position requires traditional classroom instruction. Applicants must be able to teach weekly on-campus courses in Lafayette or Crawfordsville Indiana.
