BLOOMINGTON – Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵios is offering free addiction studies certifications to eligible students pursuing careers in addiction services in west central Indiana, paid for by the Duke Energy Foundation Scholarship. Qualifying students must have already completed at least a bachelor’s degree and work in Vigo, Clay, Gibson, Greene, Hendricks, Knox, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, or Vermillion County.

The Duke Energy Scholarship seeks to build a workforce pipeline to combat opioid addiction by providing financial support to bachelor’s degree holders wishing to enter the field. Recipients of the scholarship will have 100 percent of their tuition, books, and fees covered.

Individuals seeking professional licensure as a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) are encouraged to apply. Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵios’s addiction studies Ìý²¹²Ô»åÌý programs in  contain the coursework required for qualification to take the LAC exam.
