BLOOMINGTON – Thirty-four Bloomington students in Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵios’s Associate Accelerated Program (ASAP) attended the ‘Race to the Finish’ summit at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to join ASAP students across the state. Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵios’s ASAP program affords high school graduates the opportunity to earn an associate degree in as little as 11 months, and prepares them to transfer to a four-year college to earn their bachelor’s degree. The summit marked the halfway point in the program and was held to encourage students to finish strong.
Nearly 245 ASAP students attended breakouts sessions that included a transfer fair with 43 four-year colleges and a Rise Against Hunger Event where students packaged 15,000 meals in 90 minutes. Students heard several speakers and also visited the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum.
To participate in the ASAP program, students must apply and be accepted. More information can be found at ivytech.edu/asap/.
