is accepting applicants for the evening (RN) program that starts on August 24. The transition program is for licensed practical nurses, paramedics, medical assistants (CMA-AAMA), and military medics who want to train for careers as registered nurses.
This is the first evening nursing program offered at ĢƵios statewide and was launched by the Bloomington campus last year to address the workforce need in the region and help more students become nurses in their own communities.
“By offering an evening nursing training program, we have expanded our capability at ĢƵios Bloomington to train more nurses and help close the workforce gap in the state,” Chancellor Erik Coyne, ĢƵios Bloomington said. “Students need and want flexibility, and we’ve heard for years that students want an evening training option that works for their busy schedules.”
ĢƵios Bloomington recently expanded, upgraded, and re-dedicated its Lee J. Marchant School of Nursing on main campus, in the Connie and Steve Ferguson Academic Building.
Applications for the evening nursing Transition to ASN (RN) program are due by May 15.
