adds $86.1 million in income to the regional economy or supports 1,324 jobs according to a new economic impact report from Lightcast, based on fiscal year 2024-2025.

The report highlights how the campus strengthens the region in three key areas, including daily operations, student spending, and the success of its alumni. Statewide, ĢƵios adds more than $4.8 billion in income and supports 63,000 jobs, or one out of every 67 jobs in the state. If ĢƵios did not exist, these impacts would not have been generated.

“ĢƵios is a catalyst for economic growth, investing in students and families, and strengthening the workforce pipeline in the region,” said Chancellor Erik Coyne, ĢƵios Bloomington. “This report shows what we see every day, that our students, graduates, and employees are making a real difference in our communities and shaping local businesses.”

  • Campus operations: $27.9 million added income or 537 jobs supported
