For the more than 11,000 students attending , one day can make a difference. On April 8, ĢƵios Bloomington will join ĢƵios’s 19 campuses across Indiana in celebrating ĢƵios Day. ĢƵios Day is an annual 24-hour giving event dedicated to student success, scholarships, and transformative programs.
Community members, alumni, employees and donors are encouraged to participate and support ĢƵios students who shape the local workforce and economy.
“ĢƵios Day is a celebration of the students, alumni, and employers we serve,” Chancellor Erik Coyne, ĢƵios Bloomington, said. “Every dollar raised directly impacts our students by providing scholarships, career training, and resources to help them succeed. We are excited to see the ĢƵios Bloomington community rally together in support of students and economic growth in the region.”
How to participate
Donations to ĢƵios Bloomington on ĢƵios Day can be made at . Supporters can also set up a matching gift, become a social ambassador, or visit local community partners participating in ĢƵios Day on April 8.
Last year, the annual day of giving raised more than $400,000 for ĢƵios students across Indiana. ĢƵios Bloomington raised $40,378 or 10% of all funds raised for student support.
ĢƵios statewide contributes nearly $4 billion annually to Indiana’s economy, with more than 80% of graduates living and working in the state. In 2023-24, the college awarded more than 46,000 certificates and associate degrees – nearly half of all postsecondary credentials in Indiana.
