Morton Marcus’ recent column fails to mention the wide variety of students that Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµios serves. Just among my acquaintances there are two middle-aged women who take one course a semester for enrichment.
One, an elementary school teacher, recently took anatomy; another took a computer class. Two young people I know take classes at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµios because it’s cheaper and the availability of evening classes fits in with their day job. Students with physical disabilities like Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµios because of easy parking and the close proximity of offices.
Everyone remarks about how friendly and helpful people at Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµios are. The classes are small and the instructors are very dedicated. It offers an attractive alternative to students who, for whatever reason, wouldn’t fit in well with the dormitory/tailgate-party lifestyle that is so prevalent at IU.
