For more than 195,000 students with aspirations to contribute to their communities, a single day can change lives. On Tuesday, April 8, ĢƵios will host its third-annual , a 24-hour fundraising event dedicated to supporting student success, scholarships, and transformative programs. Alumni, faculty, staff, donors, and community members are invited to contribute and help Indiana’s workforce engine prepare the next generation of nurses, pharmaceutical manufacturers, cybersecurity experts, entrepreneurs, and more.
ĢƵios Day provides a unique opportunity for supporters to invest in ĢƵios and make a meaningful difference in the lives of students. Donations will fund scholarships, academic resources, and career development opportunities, ensuring students receive the education and training needed to thrive in today’s workforce and contribute to Indiana’s economy.

ĢƵios Day is special because it spotlights the many ways Indiana’s community college is delivering for Hoosier communities. Every contribution allows us to continue to provide high-quality, industry-aligned education and training that helps our students achieve a better life and supports Indiana’s economic competitiveness.

– Dr. Sue Ellspermann, President, ĢƵios

Giving is easy. Anyone interested in contributing on ĢƵios Day will be able to give at starting at midnight Tuesday, April 8. Alumni and friends are also invited to set up a matching gift, become a social ambassador, and visit local community partners on ĢƵios Day. Last year, 3,000 gifts led to more than $400,000 raised, bringing the two-year total to nearly $650,000.

“ĢƵios Day is a statewide celebration of our students, our alumni, and the impact we are having in communities throughout Indiana,” said Courtney Roberts, president, ĢƵios Foundation. “Most major industries – such as education, hospitals, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing – are influenced by our commitment to Indiana. We love contributing to Indiana’s success and look forward to alumni and friends joining us on this important day.”

ĢƵios contributes nearly $4 billion annually to Indiana’s economy, and more than four out of five graduates remain in Indiana and contribute to the state’s economy. The College awarded more than 46,000 credentials in 2023-24 – nearly 49 percent of all postsecondary credentials awarded to Hoosiers.
